A toy is one of the earliest possessions for a kid. Actually research is done to show that it is the first thing the child calls his or hers. For this reason, there is a lot of impact, which the toy imposes on the kid. The toy industries grow as day moves. Several aspects guide it on what it will produce (Richards 4). Actually, toys, which are not based on other objects such as vehicle, phones and other lifeless objects, are on the rise in production. However, the traditional productions of toys imitating the image s of human beings have also developed (Richards 4). With the increase in technology and innovations in many industries, the toy industries also imitate them. For instance, there are toys of the latest models of phone, latest vehicles in the market as well as the latest buildings. The culture also continues to grow. There are different images, which human beings are in now which were not in the past. The toy industry also takes up these images to introduce their toys. Take for example the body shapes and the newest dressing among the females are being adopted by the toy industries (Richards 4). On the same aspect, the muscular and sports men are on the other hand adopted to the male toys. These toys have different effects on the kids who are exposed to the in one way or the other.
Considering the fact that the toys are part of the child growth, their impact is long lasting and forms part of the child ambitions (Hughes 67). According to research, it is evident that with ability, most United States people purchaser their first cars resembling the toy cars they had. On the same aspect, they buy houses resembling their toy houses. This is a clear evident of how toys affect the child’s ambition to make her or him have passion to fulfill what was really a toy into a real thing. The same way the kids wish to fulfill their ambition, they also feel the same on the human images (Hughes 67). They make well-built sports man and handsome models. This pushes the male child to have an ambition that one time he will be like the toy. However, the male children are not very much affected by how the toy looks and the passion to look like them. It is natural that mostly male children are not affected by the looks (Hughes 67). The greatest effect is on the girl child. Take for example a girl child who has been bought a very beautiful toy. The toy is well dressed in modern fittings. The shape and the look of the toy are fascinating. The owner of the toy is different from the look of the toy. The child will feel frustrated and may end up doing anything to achieve the look of the toy (Hughes 67).
The child with the ambition to look like the toy left in a big dilemma. She is not sure of whom to consult for the best solutions on the issue. The only thing the child receives is numerous compliments from her female as well as female friend on how her toy looks good. This again continues to stimulate the toys wish to be like the toy so that in turn she can receive the same compliments. First, the kid fears to ask her parents (Kilbourne 344). She is still developing and fears the reaction of the parents toward her issue. On the other hand, the child fears asking her fellow peers with the fear on how they will take her or respond. The child is at his point very confused. She has a wish to be like the toy but has neither knowledge nor the resources to be like the toy. There are only several options left from her. Either to risk and as for advice from the internet or keep the wish and try it out when she is a grown up (Kilbourne 344). Due to impatience, the child will opt to use the internet research option. In the internet, the child will find vast information, some misleading while others are right. Mostly the misleading are quick as described. The genuine ways are slow. It is evident that in order to change a body structure, there is a big process, which comes with this. There is also use of a lot of resource and regulations to achieve this change in the right way. However, the kid will want the fast and the quicker way to adopt the changes. The best ways s discussed are body shape (Kilbourne 344).
“How to attain a model body shape,” or “how to attain a sexy body”, these are probably the words the innocent kid will type on the search engine. The kid is pretty naïve when it comes to body shapes thus has less knowledge to chose on the best. She will go for the cheapest and the quickest. With the less patience, defiantly the chose t parent, then kid goes for the fastest method. Having fewer resources at her hand and with no intentions to ask for the resource for that reason from her parents makes her chose the cheapest method. According to the description, this is probably the worst and the most dangerous method to change a body shape (Dines, Gail, and Jean 340). There are two aspects for this. Either the kid admires a slim model shape while she is the opposite. This will make her go without food for days with a reason to slim. There are numerous effects of going days without food. It is true the child will lose weight but on the other hand, she will not look beautiful but frustrated. She will look starving and infected with a deadly disease. This will not achieve her ambitions to be beautiful. Lack of food will make her have a potbelly wrinkling skin and all forms of a starving person. This will not only frustrate her but also raised alarm among her peers as well as parents. On the other hand is a case where the teen wants to have curvy hips and full chest. This is usually opposite to her body shape (Dines, Gail, and Jean 340). Some other the cheap and fast ways to this include overfeeding and taking hipping tablets. This will have several impacts on the child. She will develop obesity and other diseases. Taking the peels to change the body shape on the other hand has a critical effect. Sometimes they may end up successful while other times the results are not as expected. Some of the unexpected results include obesity and cancer. This result on the other hand ends up frustrating the kid (Dines, Gail, and Jean 340).
The other aspect is the method of dressing. The doll is most times dressed in trendy and expensive clothes. These make the girl child to wish for such fittings. In the case where the parents are capable of providing such fittings, the kid feels satisfied and comfortable growth is enhanced. On the other hand, if the parents are no capable or are not ready to provide such clothes, the child is left frustrated. She feels out of the society and not in the trendy movers (Dines, Gail, and Jean 340). This together with stimulations from to her peers makes the girl lose her self-confidence and esteem. This psychologically affects the child in many ways including her future growth (Dines, Gail, and Jean 340). She grows fearing those capable of such trending assuming that they are more superior. She loses many opportunities with the fear to fail and her growth is just destroyed. The loss of self-esteem on a growing child is fatal and there is need for the precautions and solution for the effect (Dines, Gail, and Jean 340).
The beautiful and trending toys do not only have bad effects on the kids. They also have some better effects. The toys as discussed in the essay have an impact on the way the kid grows. The ambitions of the kid in very many instances are based on the first toy they possessed (Teachman 467). As much as the child would fail in changing the body shapes, this would not happen in building their career to be like that of the toys. The toys are in many instances made according to different careers. Some will be singer, police office managers and secretaries. Experiencing such careers at a young age bases the mind to one day achieve the career. As it is in the growth of the kid, it is usually in built and the passion is self-driven. Such goals are very important in the life of a child (Teachman 467). They end up being a success. However, there is need for support as the kid is developing her or his career. The society and the parents have a duty to help the kid grow in accordance to her ambition (Teachman 467). Once the ambition is discovered, the resources and time should be allowed for the kid to utilize them as she grows. This will make the toy achieve the reason of invention for the toys.
It is true that the shape and the model of female toys have negatively affected the kids mind and life. However, it is time that parents accepted what they are doing ton their kids when they buy them what they call beautiful toys (Teachman 467). I should not be mistaken to discourage the parents from but there should be more than just buying the toy. Since the effects are very common, it is important for the parents to be open and discuss with their children about the emerging issues in the society. With this, the children will choose the best and the safest method to change their body shapes due to the support. On the other hand, parents should choose toys in which their impact to the child can be handled by their status both financial and cultural (Teachman 467). This is because the parents may have the financial ability but the culture does not allow them what they want to do. The effects of the toys on the female child should be looked into with and aim of developing the cultural as it grows.
