In his prolonged journey, he abandoned his wife, son, and their Kingdom in Ithaca. Well loved of mine, discerning to fulfill” (Ulysses, 1833).

He may have chosen to live peacefully in Ithaca with his wife and son but chose to live out his passion to discover new environments. His heartbeat belonged to the waves at sea. The sea became his home.
