The Lord of the Rings-The Fellowship of the Ring is a film that has captured the attention of much audience from all parts of the world simply because it is related to issues that affect our universe and the things in it. This film captures various themes that relate to life issues. According to this film, human beings share certain characteristics regardless of the differences in location and race. This film consists of various characters that interact with each other to show the various themes depicted in the whole scenario.
There are certain similarities between the middle earth and the present world that are depicted in this film. These similarities have been shown in various universal themes. In a brief introduction of the film, the evil deeds of Sauron tend to pose a threat to the middle earth. From this, we can learn that one of the similarities between the middle earth and the present world is that in both worlds, there is some kind of evil activities taking place. Sauron had a powerful ring that was believed to be evil. He lost it to Isildur. He therefore lost all the powers that were contained in that ring. The loss of innocence in this film is depicted by a short man who was hobbit in nature. The innocence was lost when he stole the ring for a certain creature.
Another theme shown in this film is that of fate or destiny. Many years after the ring got out of the hands of Sauron, the ring got into the hands of a person named Bilbo. He later found out that the ring had some evil in it. In the real world, the possession of certain items also get into the hands of some people by fate. The theme of honor and loyalty in this film shows how certain people supported some important people without dishonor. This is shown by the Fellowship of the Ring, which is formed by people who were loyal to the people involved in the possession of the ring.
The theme of sacrifice is depicted where the short man from Hobbit made a sacrifice to steal the ring for Gollum. This is similar to the present world where some people can sacrifice to do something for other people in expectation of some treatment from the beneficiaries. There were also some people that sacrificed to join Fellowship of the Ring. Seductiveness in this film is depicted at the initial stages of this film. Isildur seduced Sauron until he was helpless. The former did this because he did not want to break the ring into parts. In this part, we find out that Sauron had certain evil powers, although they were engulfed in the lost ring.
Disciple relationship in this film is shown where the followers of Sauron are in pursuit of the people in possession of the ring. They clearly knew that the powers of Sauron were in that ring. Bringing the ring back to their master would return his powers back. This situation is similar in the present world situation. This is because many students care about the wellbeing of their teacher regardless of the actions of the latter. The Nazgul were the disciples of Sauron. These were the ring wraiths of the initial possessor of this powerful ring. Bilbo was required to return this commodity before the disciples of Sauron found them.
