The Greek Empire inspired and brought about achievements which eventually contributed to the shaping of civilized West. The Greeks had amongst other characteristics; sensibility, energetic, intelligence and daring as well. This contributed to major achievements in architecture, arts, philosophy and many more. Under this empire, there was introduction and the cherishment of democracy, religion, freedom of speech and citizens’ rights. In addition to all this deeds, the empire witnessed excellence in astronomy, physics and mathematics. During this time, the Greek and the Roman Empire lived in a society that respected and upheld spiritual life which seemed to believe in gods and goddesses. Considering this empires, it is evident that they were the founders of the New World. This is because they impacted human traits and lives socially, politically and economically.
The Renaissance period witnessed massive advances in ideas, literature, art, science and religion. The printing press come up and spread fast all over Europe. Bibles were printed and Christianity was preached around. At this time, art was dedicated to religious and human form. Trade and science grew as people developed hunger and desire for knowledge thus many ideas came along. The Greek and the Roman Empire were twisted as the artists were given the freedom for creativity.
Europe adopted most of the governance and teachings of the Greek and the Roman Empires. It follows therefore that, they adopted the religious aspects which was Christianity. They accepted and started spreading the education that was developed. Citizens thus learnt that they had the right to watch over and demonstrate their views to the government in place. Further still, there were issues of ethics and morality which would have to be considered in the entire society. The developments in architecture and engineering saw development in technology in the world.
The contact between Europe to West Africa and America saw changes and developments in political, social, economic and technological settings. The main impact came along due to introduced education. The education allowed the Americans and Africans to change perceptions and knowledge on various fields. For instance, most West African Countries were ruled by Kings. After the contact, democracy and human rights were introduced which saw the system collapse. Christianity is still evident and multiple denominations erupted due to varying interpretations of the Bible. Trade has developed continually between continents. This is due to shared knowledge, openness of boundaries and technological developments such as roads and air travel. The New World thus demonstrates that the Greek and Roman Empire deserves praise for most of the current developments.
