However, as the healthcare industry is shifting to adopt more tech-savvy methods of delivering its services, who will be responsible for overseeing the level of quality of health services? Should hospitals and other healthcare facilities have separate quality control department or should the efforts of quality control be integrated into each every activity of the hospital?

Healthcare quality can be defind as the assessment of the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of health services. As a result of healthcare reform, there is a standard set of quality units and quality improvement techniques that are used to assess the level of quality of the services delivered and suggest methods of improving it.
As such, healthcare leaders are in consensus that both leadership support and clinical staff support both contribute towards healthcare quality.
