Introduction.
A meeting by the Ventura County Transportation Committee (VCTC) was held on the first Friday of October date 4th. The meeting took place at the city hall in the city of Camarillo where an eight membered committee sat to channel a way out. VCTC being the regional transportation planning agency, held this meeting to discuss on issues affecting transport. High on the agenda, was how to make transport in the region more effective through solving the current problems hindering this. Apart from solving the problems issues on development of transport were also discussed.
Body.
The eight member committee kick started the meeting by discussing the possible improvement on the 101 and 118 freeways in order to ease up the current traffic conditions. The drivers using these freeways, were the sole reason why the improvements were deemed necessary. To help on reducing the current traffic congestion, a passenger rail was discussed as an option. This was to help reduce the number of people using vehicle to get to their different destinations. Also on discussion was proposition 1B transit security selection projects. The issues of speeding and quality of our roads were also lightly tackled by the committee.
A.O.B.
After they had finalized on the issues at hand, future took precedence. The future goals of the committee were discussed on how to make the transportation within the county even better. A lot was said and blueprints on how they are going to achieve and deliver on their agreements were laid down.
Recommendations.
Conclusion.
At last the committee answered several questions from the audience which I believe is plus because many people came up with ideas which might come in handy in the future. It was of utmost importance to be able to attend such a huge meeting since the last one that was in Saudi Arabia. I think transport is an important issue both to the county, country, and the people at large. Transport is an issue that cannot be ignored whatsoever in our day to day way of live. This meeting helped shed a light on how to tackle future problems and the importance of involving everyone in such crucial matters as it may offer solutions or help during decision making.
