Theology reflects an activity that is socially located in sense that our judgment about what is right of true is based on the social location, culture and education. As a result it becomes complicated to reveal the whole truth of what people believe to other who does not exhibit the same location and culture. Each and every individual exhibits specific social traditions which are a fundamental basis on all rational inquiry. Therefore, all the knowledge especially about the theology is mediated though this inherited perspective. Thus, the rational activity that a person demonstrates are socially historically context bound.
Socially located concept assists an individual of have a better interpretation of reality and beliefs as people pass through experiences and think what the true belief. As people engage in different activities in different environments, they start their world enquiry based on the assumption that particular fundamental beliefs belong to their social life. In some occasion basic assumption regarding traditional values of a society are put into consideration when inherent justification is needed.
Although people are locked in by the fact their own tradition is their home of their theoretical knowledge, people should interact with different societies that have different traditions. Without a fundamental comprehension of both modern day situation and Christian .tradition, people cannot have effective conversations. This means that it successfully develops a sustainable interpretation of faith of Christian into definite conversation with sustainable explanation of the modern day situation. Theology explains the Christian doctrines, moral and practice laws and also provides an explanatory view of how the modern society should live.
The main goal of fundamentally interpretive activity is to enhance social and personal transformation. When theology is effectively stipulated, people are able to develop broader and richer comprehension of what being a human or being a part of authentic society means with relationship to God. As a result interpretation element of theory can be applied by individuals to enhance their faith by facilitating people’s spiritual journey. Theology makes people feel more solid and be able to overcome challenges. This helps people to live in the discipleship of Christ in a manner that they can be able to bring about greater love, healing and justice to people around us.
