Following the specific course requirement to prepare a professional publication manuscript, I have a selected a topic regarding student motivation, retention, and positive intervention behavior. The task requires that I critically evaluate peer-reviewed journal articles for research purpose. Using the information that I will get from the publications and real life data, I should submit my manuscript to a peer-reviewed journal for review and possible publication.
Many journals illuminate on this topic such as the journal of education and learning. The publication asserts that student motivation and interactive engagement promotes the overall conceptual state of mind of the learner. Additionally, overall retention rates in schools is also a consequence of a motivated group of students. The practice refines the practical and theoretical line of thinking regarding student ability to be in charge of personal, academic and emotions (journal of education and learning 288). Other journals focusing on the same include the middle school journal
Many journals, articles and related publications that I intend to use and research from revolve around the central theme of motivation, interactive student engagement, and positive behavior intervention strategies. For submission, I plan to submit my publication to an online peer-reviewed platform such as SAGE, ELSEVIER or the educational research journals. Therefore, I will have to adhere to all the writing and submission guidelines. For a platform like ELSEVIER, they have strict policies that every author must follow. Some of the writing guidelines point that all writing mechanics such as the use of times new roman font, double spacing and size 12 must be followed. Additionally, tables, charts, graphs and pictures should be as minimal as possible and should follow the contextual texts. Al work must be cited and referenced and referenced as appropriate following the APA 9(American Psychological Association).
It is imperative that I conduct the research with total dedication and undivided attention for an effective, results oriented and objective outcome. The research is also a CLO (course learning outcome) instructional objective that is crucial to meeting the set objectives and curriculum requirements.
