For some time now, I have been interested in establishing a restaurant business to serve traditional foods clients. Before establishing the business, I will need to develop marketing, management, planning, logistics and communication skills. Planning and management skills are crucial in restaurant business and, therefore, I will have to develop these skills first prior to launching the business. This will be facilitated through joining short business courses offering training in management and planning. As the business picks up, I will then join another training program to develop marketing, communication and logistics skills.
I look forward to bringing on board people with experience in catering and accounting. For a start, my sister will help with the accounting department because she has eight-year experience in accounting. On the other hand, my cousin will take care of the catering because he has been a chef for seven years. As the business develops, we will need more people as waiters and chefs. We will be looking for people with a minimum of three year experience in the hospitality industry. The positions will be filled through competitive interviews to identify the best people who share our business vision.

As the business grows, this is how the organization chart will look like:
Following Otto Kroeger’s caricature, I lie in the ENFJ category because I am good with people, and this is one of the personality traits which will be useful in the growth of the business. However, I am impatient, and this is one of the personality traits which can hinder smooth business. To avoid this, I intend to attend anger management lessons to control my temper.
