The biggest island in Thailand, the land of smiles is Phuket that is located in the Andaman Sea, and Pattaya is the most important destination in Thailand. The article “Relationship between Destination Image, Food Image, and Revisiting Pattaya, Thailand” by Sarunya Lertputtarak provides a comprehensive description about the exotic beaches, the food in Thailand, the nightlife and entertainment, densest concentration of bars, and the disco’s that is well known as walking street. Lertputtarak reflects more on what attracts the tourists to Thailand and why the tourists like revisiting this fantasy island in the article.
As stated by Lertputtarak (2012), Pattaya is famous for its nightlife and much nightlife activities must be added instead of focusing on beer bars and Go-Go bars. Tourists perceive Pattaya to be a land of attractive people, who have a respectable culture, and their food serving style is unique. Pattaya even teaches Thai culture through the cultural or traditional Thai shows. A study conducted on the tourists in Pattaya revealed that tourists want to visit this location because of its adventure, relaxing, pleasant, welcoming, reliable and communicative people.
Phuket, being an island is famous for its small beaches. Some significant beaches are the Paradise beach, and as stated by Schneidewind (2011), across the bay, one can spot Kamala Beach, another famous touristic hot-spot, and the long stretch of Tri Trang Beach, can be spotted from the hill. A sport such as Ocean kayaking is quite an attraction on these beaches and it requires highly skilled peddlers.
The tourists must be felt satisfied in tourist destinations, and these destinations must motivate the tourists to revisit. Pattaya and Phuket are already well known destinations and I agree to the fact mentioned by Lertputtarak (2012), that Sport events help promote the location so tourists could perceive that Pattaya had attractive tourist sightseeing and activities.
