The development of a tourism hotspot in the Favela region has been set to use a strategic and systematic approach at achieving the set goal of increasing the tourist attraction sites in the region. The tourism planning approach involves a number of projects that have been put in place to improve the infrastructure and property value.

This goes a long way in ensuring and maintaining the environmental purity.

The employment quality of the region is improvised which offers a positive economic impact by ensuring the competitiveness and viability of the tourism spots. The quality and the number of the local jobs are increased via the support created by tourism.
The tourists are offered good services and social amenities, of which the residents also share the same due to the introduction of tourism. Tourists derive the fulfillment of having an adventurous tour or excavation of vacation sites, e.g. when they purchase different products and souvenirs for their own keeping when they go back home. This promotes the hometown businesses via earning them income.
The cultural richness of the community is enhanced via the preservation of the traditions, historic heritage and the uniqueness of host communities that invite the tourists. Therefore, the ethnicities and traditions are carried via generations and maintained for memory and practice to sustain tourism in the given area in the long run.
