3 Hour Training Plan
ROOM LAYOUT
The total number of students that will undertake the novice cabin crew training will be 40. They are expected to sit in groups of five; this indicates that there will be 8 groups. The class will thus require 40 reading chairs and five reading table for the students. The teacher will use the normal room chairs and tables.
Equipment Required: DVD player and TV set and computers connected to the internet
Timing of this training activity, Time: 2.30 pm- 5.30 pm
Aim: To enable cabin crew learners in Mixed Fleet to develop knowledge and understanding of issues on health, safety and security in aviation industry (airports and airline industries). Learners are expected to be able to identify main hazards in airside and terminal areas, acquire knowledge on methods that can be used to minimize the hazards, and become conversant with legislations in the aviation industry.
Objectives: Upon the completion of this unit, learners are expected to be able to:
Explain the importance of studying issues related to health, safety and security for cabin crews
Identify a range of hazards that involve health, safety and security
Understand and explain health, safety and security risks and hazards in the aviation industry and how they can be minimized
Discuss various aviation legislations and solve cases of legal issues in aviation industry
Identify suitable systems used in monitoring, controlling and improving each system
