ABSTRACT
AAS technologies is a company working in the field of software, hardware and electronic services. It is a growing company in the global world market. For fulfilling the needs and requirements of the same, three different types of training modules for the company’s employees are being suggested. These include the induction training, cross cultural training and training for better communication. The techniques suggested shall bring about a huge improvement in the culture of the company as well as its market image. It shall increase the confidence level of its employees and shall make them equipped to face the challenges coming their way as the company goes global.
AAS Technologies Pvt. Ltd, which was established in 1996, is a well known company for rendering consultations and expert solutions in a wide variety of fields that ranges from telecom products, security systems, call center solutions, ERP, database management softwares, process controls, embedded systems etc. It is a company that provides software solutions, which emphasize both on scientific applications as well as business. Customer Relationship Management software (CRM) is one of the specialties of the company. It is one of the leading provider of CRM. CRM focuses on automating the customer-service and sales operations in big corporate. The services of the company can be accessed using devices such as cell phones, personal computers, and other personal digital assistants. The company offers technology that is used in the development, integration, deployment as well as management of the software applications.
Services provided by the company are in the departments of 1. software, 2. hardware, 3. academics and 4. electronics.
Goal of the company as mentioned – “Our goal at Interface Softwares is to deliver extraordinary software and services that will empower professional services firms and other relationship-based organizations to compete more effectively and efficiently. We do this by understanding the unique needs of professionals, and by tailoring our solutions and services with them in mind.”
Being a company the provides softwares for different purposes to different kinds of offices, individuals and organizations, it is of utmost importance that the needs and requirements of the client are perfectly assessed and thought over. Only then can the idea be properly handled at the development stage of the software. Following the study of requirements is important to communicate it properly to the employees that would be involved in the programming level in the development stage of the product as well as the testing stage. While the product is being developed it is necessary for all the employees to keep in mind the basics and values of the organization that they are working for.
The company can be at this stage projected to acquire a status of a global organization in the market in the coming 5 years. This increases the training needs of the company and it is required that the understanding of different organizations, cultures, even countries and tailored needs is embedded in the minds of the employees. It is important that the employees are trained to think from the point of view of their client and not just their own assessment.
For the company to grow it is required that new recruitments be done to cater to the demands of the company. And this must be planned for beforehand and new recruits be recruited and trained accordingly.
Following are the training techniques that shall be suggested for the betterment of the company and for creating its very own space in the global market :
- Induction training –
In this orientation programme the new recruits shall be exposed to the different functions of the company in a comparatively short period of time so that the best area for each recruit and his/ her interests can be found out. This will accelerate the new recruits past the initial phase and put them straight into continuous learning, understanding and action state.
Application method – Introduce to new recruits to the different roles and familiarize them. Rotating them through all the different jobs. This can be side-by- side supported with case studies and lectures.
This technique will help in –
- Exposing new managers to all types of business processes.
- Quickly making a recruit productive
- Making recruits familiar to the corporate world
- Cross cultural training
This type of training is important to create the awareness of cultural differences, respecting and valuing the mutual differences. The company needs to catch up on the culture couture and bare-bone training module.
Application method – 2 to 5 day training programme modules may be designed, with lectures and presentations on the businesses and social etiquettes of different countries. This can be supported by site visits to the countries and their corporate offices if possible.

During the training it is very important that the employees are serious towards the training and work towards removing the cultural biases, if any, in their minds.

It shall be spread through in a 2-4 week intensive training workshop, where the whole purpose of the workshop shall be to –
- Bring different sets of employees together.
- Giving them time to interact personally.
- Letting everyone know about the roles and responsibilities of the other connected employees.
- Understanding the problems and difficulties of sub-ordinates.
- Developing a new culture of communication among the employees.

- Organize training sessions at a venue other that the company office.
- Delegation of work and negotiating exercises.

- Mentoring and coaching by higher managers.
- Ice breaker games.
These three methods of training shall help in bringing the company to a level where it can launch itself into the global market with a very strong internal system and organized processes of the company. The comfort level of the employees as a part of the organization, an individual as well as a co-worker shall increase manifold bringing in new ideas and faster solution of problems and issues in the company.
It is very important for the company to keep training on a high priority list for overcoming the different challenges in the company. To keep doing that the organization must -
- Commit huge percentage of resources and proper time for training.
- Use training to develop skills of individuals in the organization
- Try to link the varied needs of individual, organization and the operations.
- Make learning one of the core values of the company.
- Use training to bridge external world gaps.
- Use training as a tool for change management in the company.
- Use training towards the upgradation of the employees on a continuous basis.
