The general aspiration of Engineering is to improve the quality of life. It caters to innovative methods that aims to increase the productivity of both people and society. My fascination towards the field root from my desire to become a positive impact in society. I would like to see my ideologies someday turn into reality with the help of engineering concepts. My experience and familiarity with engineering fundamentals is a great asset for me. Although, the field is demanding and painstaking, what it offers me and society is worth all the challenges. I am particularly interested in aerospace engineering. My father, who played an integral role towards my career choice, served as a military man at the air force in the past. Each time he was home, he would share stories of just how fascinating the world of aircrafts is and how it was literally sky is the limit when it comes to manufacturing air vehicles. As a result, even as a kid, I wanted to see how people manufacture aircrafts. Before, I just wanted to learn how planes and spaceships fly, now I want to go deeper and learn the dynamics behind the science.
When I came across the film Top Gun my resolve towards the field of engineering was further heightened I was intrigued by the technicalities of the aircrafts used in the film like how they were manufactured and operated. I wanted to build my own aircraft and one day sees it grace the skies. My aspiration is construct a vehicle that could change the landscape of exploring the universe. I want it to provide new knowledge and uproot discoveries that could result to breakthroughs in science.
In the past, I served as the president of my high school’s Astronomy class. I was fascinated with the universe and built on the dream that one day I would explore it with something I designed. I see the universe as big mass of possibilities. Because of its size and mystery there are still many undiscovered elements that are left untouched by the human mind. I would like to contribute towards the advancement of science and society not only through my works but also in terms of innovations I could produce.
Because of my desire to familiarize myself with the demands and nature of the profession, I participated in a number of volunteer activities that allowed me to gain experience, I used to volunteer in my dad’s university during a vehicle competition. The stint there allowed me to see different car models and engine setups that increased my familiarity with the technicalities of the crafts. I see myself flourishing in this profession because I consider it fit for my nature as person. I define myself as someone innovative who likes to think outside the box.
When I look at the skies, I imagine my model flying across it and inspiring other people to create something similar or something better. I have prepared myself for this instance that I would now pursue the program I envisioned myself doing. what I can offer is my brand of dedication and creativity. I would like to live my mark on the world by helping lives and improving the methodologies on how things operate in society. I want to constantly innovate to increase people’s desire for improvement and development. Due to the trend in today’s era, following this career choice will open many possibilities for me.
