The basic aim of the research is therefore to determine the relationship between taking of various drugs and the problem of xerostomia, a disease characterized by the dryness of a mouth (Shetty et l, 2012). This project uses various samples of saliva collected from the age group of 60 and above.
The approaches used to obtain information
The selected group of people was then subdivided into three major groups labeled as A, B and C. The study aimed at investigating if the results obtained could be used to help further in the advancements needed in the medical field so s to boost the health sector. The samples were collected from people who had certified certain rules and conditions. 3 3. The major hypothesis and conclusions The results obtained gave a clue to the necessary investigation that the problem of dry mouth was created by the intake of various and different types of drugs by the aging people. This study also showed that the condition can be diminished by the observation of certain routines and practices. Complete failure to takes the drugs that caused the problem was crucial for curing of the condition. The other issue is the substitution of the medications that might cause the problem of dry mouth.
