Analysis of Social Media Sites for Personal Branding
A social networking site is a service platform created to build interactions among people who share a common interest, activities or real life connections and most of them are website based. To develop a brand communication the primary source used is Twitter as it the most popular social network in graph presentations and marketing of products using a hashtag(Jothi et al.,1).One primary type of Twitter Social Network analysis map is the Polarized Network frequently seen in political matters and emerges when two groups are split in their opinion on an issue such as the sitting government and his cabinet misusing the country’s finances for personal gain making the country more corrupt and weakening its economy. The opposition, on the other hand, fighting for the same citizens’ rights leading to misunderstandings between the two groups as their opinion is to see the economy grow and not going to the recession among others.
Some of the advantages of using Twitter include popularizing a company’s brand or service to the target group encouraging healthy competition in the market.It makes the audience interact and be in touch with their new trending brands and lastly providing social benefits for the users through interaction with different people across the world(Sheley 3). Limitations are information can be accessed only as it is being published and organizations willing to do an analysis must have the capacity on how to use IT infrastructure to support them which is also costly in terms of acquisition and maintenance. Insufficient internet network is making accessible unavailable to the users in remote areas.
Blogging as a website is used for reference and a powerful way from building my personal products and services. It is more time consuming as I need to define a name for my blog that connects to my knowledge and ideas to benefit a particular industry of my interest such as design industry. In developing my personal brand, I will use it regularly to maintain my identity by taking advantage of free blog-hosting services.(Manhattan College 4).A Blogger network makes advertising much easy across the globe through sharing of information. Its limitation is that there is no face to face communication, and one common language must be designed for a person to interact with other friends.
Whatsapp profile will help me in personal history and reach my clients. I use it for quick information to people and a person’s professional experiences, online rehabilitation training, and interests in comparison with others of the similar background through signing in with a WhatsApp account. The advantage is that it is a source used for finding job opportunities or new employees making it a popular site. The disadvantage is that not everyone is actively engaged in it as it is time-consuming. It's only meant for literate people who has the capability to understand and interpret the picture information displayed on my screen on the social platform.
In conclusion, the world today is trending so fast on technology with social media communication taking the lead and experts should always be on the lookout for the modern changes in the economy. Promotional advertising in social media should be more attractive and persuasive to the targeted audience and make it more attractive to benefit the brand user. Lastly, person’s visualization is improved by exposing shared topics and exploration of friends and fans following the social brand.
