The film entitled Unbroken Ground is a 25-minute film directed by Chris Malloy of Farm Leauge. On August 01, 2016, the Patagonia Provisions announced the releases of this documentary film, which allows the viewers to have a closer look at agriculture and how recent food practices affect us and the earth as a whole. 1. Modern Hollywood vs. Hollywood of the 1960s
The Hollywood of the 1960s has a considerable impact on modern Hollywood, yet technological advances and social changes have transformed the standards of Hollywood today. The film of the 1960s made use of what was then considered as special effect technologies, but the practice of using studio-based system in film production has changed, such that film makers today opt to move from studio production to shooting in outside locations. In addition to that, the focus on family audiences has shifted, such that the Holywood movies tend to focus on diverse audiences, and has deviated from family oriented themes to other subjects, mainly because of exploitative motive.
2. 1950s Hollywood as it Relates to Hollywood of the 1910s
During the 1910s, filmmakers were able to depict continuity of action by using special effects that make it appear like the actors or scenes are moving from one sequence to another. It was during this period when actors are credited for their roles. There are new film techniques that were used such as the introduction of artificial lighting and effects to enhance film settings. A lot has changed during the 1950s, as films such as the Cinderella conquered the film making industry. There was the proliferation of animated shows, which inspired the diversification into live-action film making.
3. Film Era and a Country
One of the notable impact of Hollywood cinema is its influence on the Chinese film industry. The Chinese movies became popular during the 1980s because of how young people became animated by the films’s display of martial arts skills. In a way, the Chinese movies emulated Hollywood, as Chinese film makers adopted the use of film editing, and backlighting. The difference, however, is that Chinese filmmakers tend to have themes that are closely tied to the Chinese society and culture.
4. Film Genre
My favorite film genre are those that belong to romantic comedy films. This is because I tend to be entertained by movies that are light-hearted and used a lot of humorous plots throughout the story. It seemed to me like romantic comedy films narrates true stories that happen in real life, it's just that the filmmaker was clever enough to inject humor in them. An example of a romantic comedy film is the movie Monster-in-law which was released in 2005. One film director who demonstrated a mastery of this genre is Robert Luketic, who was able to direct several romantic comedy films in a span of a decade.
5. Cultural Conditions and their Role in Films
The cultural belief about the American Dream, tells that an individual can achieve success through continued hard work and determination. This belief has a considerable impact in the film industry, such that there are many movies that narrated how an individual can transform their lives from poverty to riches. The American Dream that was coined sometime in the 1930s became a subject of several films in the following decades.
