Unnatural causes
The series of documentaries attempts to answer the question on how inequality affects our health. The investigators discover that there is more to human health than just medical care, genetic makeup, and behaviors. The social, economic, and physical environment on our upbringing and workplace highly affect our health. Other practices such as smoking, exercise and diets have influence in our longevity and health too.
The issue of color being a factor and determinant in health has changed with increased equality between all American citizens. It is clear that most the new and young mother in America have no direct experience of racial abuse hence the associated stress may not affect them in pregnancy ("New PBS Series on Health", 2008).
Displacement of persons as collateral damage was another factor contributing to poor health. In Modern America, people can petition the government for better living conditions. Through courts and environmental agencies, healthy conditions of life are assured for any society displaces for military purposes.
Government and private investors have also established residential places that have controlled development and other activities. This arrangement reduces prevalence of chronic stress that result from pollutions, security fears, lack of health amenities, and other environmental factors that lead to unhealthy leaving.
Introduction of health care plan by the United States government has also reduced the pressure from the poor in the community. One key contributor to chronic stress among American was unfavorable and expensive health care. The Obama care program lessens the burden of the poor in the society hence improving the health levels.
Proper diet and exercises was another key factor on unhealthy living. The modern America people can easily access healthy diet at relatively affordable cost. This coupled with the increased campaign on the importance of exercises has reducing the associated risks.
Advancements have been made to lessen the impact of the unnatural causes all over America. However more can be done to improve the welfare of the Americans
