The painter depicted realistic renditions of four perpendicular sailboats steadily parked on the water bank. The artist was evidently focused on providing intricate details of the sailboats and their perfect images mirrored in the clear blue water. The reflected images were effectively captured as flickering images to indicate water movements and the light and shading of blues from lighter to darker shades were amazingly excellent. There was perfect balance and apparent sublime rhythm as exhibited by the blue skies and paralleled mirror images of all objects reflected in the water. The image, as painted, was sharp, clear, and realistic.
As such, as viewers of this work of art, one could be led into reflective stance and the image seems to invite the audience into paralleling the stillness as spectators apparently await for the coming of the wind. Through the personal rendition of the artist, the message intended to be relayed was perfectly captured and acknowledged by the audience who gets to appreciate the anticipated feeling of patiently waiting for the wind amidst the marvelous landscape that was captured in its aesthetic splendor.
