Different people subscribe to different faiths and beliefs’ depending on their inclination to what they think is right. There are several faiths in the world today but the most common are Christianity, Judaism and Islam. All these faiths are commonly referred to as Abrahamic religions. All of them have evolved and changed over time but much of the change has taken place during the enlightenment era, better known as modernization. Modernization has both positively and negatively impacted these religious movements much of which is seen through how they are conducted these days (Fisher 502).
In as much as there has been belief of the existence of the people behind these religions, that is, Jesus and Muhammad, many people especially from opposing faiths and religious inclinations do not really subscribe to their existence more so Jesus Christ. But modernization has made it possible for extensive scholarly research to be done in order to bring forth evidence that proves that they ever lived and that their contributions to the religious movements are indeed true. The research has therefore helped both Christians and other people of other religions to believe that indeed, the origin of their faith is credible (Fisher 376).
Religion is therefore in this case portrayed as an evolving vibrant feature in many a people’s lives. It is not like a museum where everything else is stagnated. Renaissance is being felt in all the religions and all of them have seen a historical change and development from traditional and indigenous way of doing things to a more vibrant way such as inter faith initiatives which was not the case in the past.
