Www.aynrand.org is a website of a nonprofit organization called The Ayn Rand Institute based in California which supports and promote principles of reason, rational, self interest and individual rights to widest possible audience. The Ayn Rand Institute (ARI) seeks to spearhead the antibias principles among the societies and people through promotion of cultural renaissance. Any Rand’s philosophy of ` objectivism’ holds the fundamental foundation of reason in her ideas to reverse the harmful ideologies that dominate culture and threaten our liberty-ideologies such as good culture morals.
The website has letters to the editor which involve people’s opinions and views are also published in the website and reach the readers. The ARI website gives ideas of Ayn Rand on political theory and principles that people may find beneficial.
Implications for the Ayn Rand Institute website
The ARI website strengthens people’s ideas more so the youth through the introduction of Ayn Rand’s novels via the website, whereby the young people are encouraged to read the novels and think about them. The website has got some help to the educators since through the website; ARI offers information on integrated programs of educational projects so as to defend the philosophy necessary for free enterprise. Parents can also benefit by reading and understanding the ideologies of Ayn Rand, a philosopher, who wanted an equal right economy and promoted multiculturalism since she was a Russian living in United States of America where there was a lot of discrimination and many forms of violation of human rights. This can act as a guideline to future leaders who will lead philosophic battle of objectivity.
Strength and weakness of the website
The website is valuable and resourceful since it provides informative details that help improve an individual’s character and behavior. The information provided by the website is of ideas of a novelist who advocated for righteous society. That is she promoted good cultural practices that disputed capitalism and promoted reason.
The weakness of the website is that it contains mostly advertisements on activities being done by The Ayn Rand Institute which is the organization involved in helping Ayn Rand’s ideas. This disadvantages the people who lack patience and has limited time to access the appropriate and enough information.
Conclusion
I will use this website again because the website is educational, and I also find it resourceful since information from the website is valid and there is the reliable source of information which is recorded. The Ayn Rand Institute, which is the center for the advancement of objectivism, is the publisher of ARI website.
