Undoubtedly, health is a vital aspect of all American people. Not only women, but even men are equally health conscience. Education, race, income and ethnicity are all considered to be some of the important factors that contribute towards good health of most men and women. Readings indicate a majority of women population are more used to living in poverty than men. Diseases like asthma and diabetes are more likely to be caused by family issues. With increase in income, asthma cases decline and women who come under a higher income group are more likely to live below poverty.

Since 1989, The US government has imposed ban on the usage of tobacco by pregnant women.
High Blood pressure and obesity are also increasing more among women than men. The number of women suffering from hypertension has increased by 51% from 1990 to 2000. On the contrary, figures have been decreasing in case of men during the same period.
