Nowadays we live in peaceful times but still war remains a great problem of all societies. Nevertheless we have everything we need and want, people continue fighting and nothing can be done with it. Why are people so cruel? What is the attitude of different people and tribes towards the war? And why people cannot find themselves after war in life and live in peace with other people? All of these problems must be solved but they only accumulate and the government plays a certain role in it.
In present days people mostly are cruel and greedy. They use wood, paper, water, electronic devices and a lot of other things which are not inexhaustible and they even do not think about the consequences. They can cut down all the trees but they do not think that in future they will have no oxygen to breathe. The same thing is with war. Sometimes the government forces people to fight even not for your country. And they go not because they want or consider it to be necessary – they need these feelings. The example with the helmet in the bar shows that fight is in blood of men. [Junger] It had been since people appeared. Men fight for food, for women, for justice and other things. Why do they fight when they are drunk? It is easy, because true male essence woke up. But still the treatment of war of different people is different.
Some people appreciate to take part in war, someone is afraid to do this, but do because this is a duty. Some tribes build the whole systems how to protect their settlements and they believe that no one can ruin them; they find such cruel and dreadful ways of protection that people make up legends and copy these ways in other cultures. Moreover, some Indian tribes have special rituals before going on war and after coming from it. They think that the warriors need to put in order their heads and bodies. [Junger] As for the warriors of the United States, they can fight for different countries and this is maybe the strangest thing. You lose your friends or relatives in the war which does not concern you. You can take part in the war for the country with which you have nothing in common. So, here we come to the question why the soldiers came from war so different.
It goes without saying that people after war are completely different. When you came back into peaceful life it is very difficult to adapt yourself as you always wait for shooting, for bombs or something like this. Your psyche had changed. Of course, when you buried your friends or close people and looked into the face of death it is rather difficult to keep calm all the time. Somebody cries, somebody does not want to talk about this at all and somebody becomes very aggressive and irritated all the time. Our government honors ex-warriors on Veteran’s Day, but it is not enough I believe. Everything the country could do is to give flowers, some respect, benefits to them. But country will never return a lost leg or an arm, a dead friend or brother, health especially mental health and calm dreams.
