I believe that this organization holds in prowess in management as I am guaranteed improved performance in terms of managerial skills.
Through the research that I carried out concerning this organization, I have realized that organizational culture defines the relationship of the employees in the organization. This organization has nurtured an adorable culture where every employee is concerned with the success of the other employee. It does not support alienation of one’s ability. Therefore, it pays exclusive attention to monitoring one’s ability to improve on managerial skills for the time the individual remains in the organization. How did you try to make yourself attractive to the organization?
Being new to the organization I was sure no one had heard of me before and I need to show them what kind of a person I was and what I would bring to the organization. On my first appearance before the interviewing panel, I had to be presentable in terms of dress code. Also, I had to prove to the organization that I had the skills that they were looking for in the interview. Therefore, I answered all questions with the professionalism required.
During the interview process, I had to prove that I had all the traits that would fit in the organization. Therefore, I ensured I answered all the questions that were posed to me in a coherent manner. I learnt about the job’s requirements and rewards about the organization in an advert that the organization had published in a local newspaper. The advert had a lot of information about the organization that gave me courage and motivation of applying for a job. The requirements were well highlighted and the organization did not demand qualifications that are exclusively high. Also, the organization had been recommended to me by a friend who had worked in the organization before. How did you judge your own KSAOs and needs relative to these requirements and rewards?
I had previously attended organizational internships where I learnt of the various skills that I possessed. Also, during interactions with friends I was always entrusted certain managerial positions. Although, I felt I did not possess the experience that the organization demanded I trusted that my ability to learn extremely fast would stand in the gap and assure me a chance to suit all the qualifications that were needed. My KSAOs did not fully match the requirements of the job at the moment.Employment:Why did you decide to continue on in the staffing process, rather than drop out of it?
I felt this was a chance to prove the facts that I knew about myself as well as continue in the process of discovering more about myself in terms of managerial skills. This was also a chance for me to advance my KSAOs which would be boosted by extensive exposure to work. The staffing process also assisted me in understanding various elements that would make me more marketable in the job market. Therefore, it exposed me to opportunities of comparing my abilities to what the job market requires me to do or possess before I get employed.
Why did you decide to accept the job offer? What were the pluses and minuses of the job?
As a beginner the salary was attractive. Also, the organization would have prepared me for bigger responsibilities in future through advanced managerial skills. In the current job market, experience has become extremely vital. Through this organization, I would gather adequate experience that would prepare me for the job market as I will have acquired adequate experience in the organization. Also, I will be in a position to master my strengths or abilities through the organization since it is supportive in skills development. On the other hand, the job would have been challenging as I would be required to for long hours thus affecting my social life in a negative manner.
