The project management failure may be attributable to several reasons which should be foreseen by the manager of the project in advance. There are some preliminary evidences that may take place in the beginning of the project on the path to the complete failure. There symptoms include the failure to comply with the timeframe given, lack of the high quality in performance, overcome with the budget limits. In fact, these reasons are quite popular in the project management sphere as the managers usually fail to address all risks. However, all primary reasons of the complete failure may be classified into the following groups based on the actions and risky factors:
Lack of proper establishment of the final goal
Flaws in the leadership of the project and efficient surveillance over the implementation
The involvement of the stakeholders that undermine the realization of the project
Problems with the communication with the staff involved in the performance of the project
Improper estimation of the financial side of the project
Fail to divide the realization of the project into relevant timeframes
Flaws in evaluation of the risks and following anticipation of the consequences arising out of the risks
Absence of the discussion of the quality discussion with the involved managers
Low level of the surveillance over the realization of the project in all levels
Problems with the decision making (Attarzadeh and Ow).
The abovementioned factors represent the example of some groups of the risks that may take place in relation to the launch and further realization of the project. With that, the efficient manager is the key to the proper performance of the project. However, it is highly important to bear in mind that reasons as to the failure of the project depend on the industry and business environment where the project should operate. Given this statement, the owners and developers of the project should pay more time for the consideration of the risks and perspective factors influencing the performance of the project in order to save future financial expenses.
