Why My GPA Fell And Why Do I Think I'm Ready To Come Back Personal Statement Samples

There is a good saying: “Hardships that I encountered in the past will help me succeed in the future”. For me, the future has already started, and the first thing I want to do is to come back to school.
Back in 2006 I had everything I ever wanted: loving girlfriend, friends, plans for future, happiness. However one day I have lost it all. It happened when the girl, I wanted to spend my life with, cheated on me. To make the situation worse, I was unfairly accused in doing scores of awful things, I have never done. Instead on focusing on my studies, I had to deal with courts, over the unsubstantiated allegations made against me. It was the fist time in my life I had to deal with such hardships, and all on my own. After months spent in courts, I was devastated, broke and had no will and courage to move on with my life. I did my best to bear it all, and remain at school, but it was too complicated, and in 2007 I had to withdraw. I dropped out school to take a break and understand who I really am, and what do I want from this life.
Years passed, 2006 is already history, and I am ready to move on, picking up the pieces from where I left off. Although I cannot say that I am a completely different person right now, as I truly believe that everything that happens in our lives leaves some impact on us. However, at this point I know for sure what my goals are, and I am willing to do anything it takes to achieve them. Still, I cannot move on not having graduated from school. And that is the main reason of why I am telling this story right now. I am asking for a second chance to start my life over, and all I need for that right now is to be accepted back to school.
I am asking you to ignore my miserably low GPA, and to give me a chance to show that I have made the conclusions, and ready to hit the road studying.
