A larger percentage of the world’s population hardly ever exercise and this can be attributed to the fact that people have become busier and schedules become tighter with each day. The advancement in technology has also greatly influenced people’s lifestyles negatively such that they hardly ever exercise or engage in activities that boost their health. Several advantages accrue from a routine workout. Mayo Clinic Staff proposes that before embarking on any strenuous exercises, it is necessary to seek a doctor’s opinion to ensure that one keeps healthy and does not cause harm to their body (2014).

One of the advantages of exercises includes better blood flow and having fun while exercising. This eventually translates to a much more relaxed lifestyle and one is able to have and maintain better interpersonal relationships. Online Bangalore suggests that although working out is not a popular culture in most societies, it is important that one develops their own workout routines and makes them interesting and enjoyable (n.d.). For example, instead of always exercising using a treadmill, one can opt to change their routine and run on a field or mark out a forest trail on which they can hike. All this counts as exercise and is especially interesting due to the exposure to the fresh air and scenic views along most of the commonly used trails. Other benefits are that it facilitates better sleep patterns. This is particularly for people who are struggling to fall asleep as it deepens sleep thereby eradicating insomnia.

According to the National Institute of Health (2015), most health problems and diseases are easily treated through exercise. High blood pressure can be maintained through regular exercise (Mayo Clinic Staff, 2014). Diseases such as depression, arthritis, and even stroke are easily treated trough exercise. Some of the diseases that can easily be prevented through regular exercise are coronary heart disease and prostate cancer. People who often exercise are leaner and stronger than those who do not, thereby achieving greater peak bone mass (NIH, 2016).
