Objectives
I am seeking election to public office and specifically the position of President of the United States. My campaign will run on the platform of improving the livelihood of American citizens and zero tolerance to corrupt practices.
Corruption
Private interests and purposes continue to secretly run our government and control its elected leaders. I propose to establish a Federal commission that will maintain permanent supervision over all corporations engaged in business with the state. The commission will deal with tackling unfair competition in business and watch out for special privileges granted to some organizations.
Industrial and social strength.
I believe the Nation’s primary duty is the conservation of its human resources by both industrial and social justice. Hence, as president I pledge to institute legislation to prevent industrial accidents, overworking, and occupational diseases. All occupations will be required to adhere to minimum health and safety standards with Federal control instituted to ensure compliance.
Ban child labor and establish minimum wages for female workers.
In recognition of the home-building role played by women, my government proposes to prohibit night labor for women as well as to cap their maximum working time to 8 hours a day.
Summary
My most recent work experience includes working with Robert La Follette in the development of the Wisconsin idea. Working on this has ensured that I have an understanding of the issues that plague the American citizen at present. I understand the problems that affect the working people of the United States. I also understand the detrimental effect that corruption has on our economy.
