REF: PROPOSAL FOR AIR-TRAK TRACKING SYSTEM
As the sales manager of Air-Trak System Company, am obliged to inform you of the good services that we offer when it comes to fleet management. Our company, Air-Trak is delighted to present to you a long lasting solution that will help your company when it comes to fleet management. Air-Trak deals with matters pertaining to tracking of fleet services and I believe that, since most of the fleet management companies face challenges when it comes to security and tracking of their vehicles, our services will be of great importance to you. Our company mainly specializes in GPS Fleet services and this means that you will be able to access our services while using just your computer which is also possible even when at home (Stair & Reynolds 2010). The proposal written covers some of the comprehensive issues that face your company as per the discussion that I held several weeks with some of the staff from your company.
Midwest Express fleet challenge
Because of the large number of fleet that you manage, some of the drivers always take advantage and loiter while on transit since they cannot be easily tracked. Approximately 16 percent of the drivers while on transit loiter and this has resulted in constant complaints from the customers. Some of the drivers do not also follow the assigned routes because they want to finish their personal errands before resuming duty, a matter that has resulted to some losing some of the cargoes belonging to the customers. Due to increased insecurity along the highways, your company has suffered due to loss of customer’s belongings and even death of your staff such as the drivers. Such matters make your company vulnerable as the customers’ loss their belongings and in turn loss their trust in your company. In the last six months, your company has made huge losses due to the attack on about six of the tracks that your company manages. Your company also goes at a loss because they have not established the effective route to use that can lead to usage of less fuel. Some of the drivers also take advantage of the routes they use and siphon fuel from the vehicles since they cannot be easily noticed.
Air-Trak solutions
Air-Trak Company focus on the use of global positioning system (GPS) in order to track the location of various assets and vehicles and thus will be of importance to your company. The system is operated in such a way that the dispatcher for a trucking company only needs to click on a map display on the screen of a computer and locate where all the trucks belonging to the company are found at the moment(Hall 2007).
The system ensures that the vehicles only follow the prescribed routes thus resulting too little loitering time from the drivers. Our company also focuses on the use of “geofencing,” in which those at the control center are given an alert when the vehicles leave the designated routes or areas of operation (Stair & Reynolds 2010). The system also leads to improved security thus protecting the driver and the cargo from attacks. The system is important for your company and will take it to another level.
I am looking forward to your positive response.
William Rhodes.
