In the year 1900 a book “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” saw the world. The first film adaptation was released in 1939 and since that moment, we all know about a little girl who struggled with a great courage to see her home again. With a heart full of love, she went throughout all the tests she faced.
Dorothy was of a fidgety temper and by her actions she proved that she would never betray those she loved. A great example of her devotion was the moment when Miss Almira Gulch, the neighbor, wanted to take away Toto, her beloved dog. Was she the one who would rather keep silence and just tolerate the fact she was going to be separated with her pet? That was not that case. She decided to get away with Toto so that nobody could do harm to him. This is why I do not think that a girl, who was just a kid and decided to leave her comfort place in order to show her point of view, would stay home and do not go anywhere forward. Some people may consider that just as a youthful minimalism, as a lot of teens may choose the same way to express their opinion nowadays. Though we cannot deny that she behaved as an adult in the Land of Oz as she understood that she caused a lot of pain to her aunt when she left, she appreciated everything she received from her relatives and friends.
This story tells us about eternal humanity’s moral values: courage, kindness, ability to sacrifice yourself for the sake of others, intelligence. We can think over and compare how we live today and whether we still remember about such important things. Moreover, fairy-tails are always easier to show the world and our life from another side and explain it in an easy way. That is why they are so often used in modern cinematography.
