Women's Health under the Affordable care Act
Health Policy
Affordable Care Insurance to women is one of the recent reforms in insurance and health sector in America. The issue of affordable health care insurance to women is a complex and challenging task for the American government and its policy makers. As a result of risks involved in women's health and life uncertainties, it is prudent for women to be covered under affordable care insurance. This is because women health reforms will provide health care coverage for children and women of childbearing age as well as changes in health care delivery. This requires introduction and expansion of health care insurance to introduce changes the infrastructure of health care system which are essential in the delivery of health care (Zamosky, 2013).
Critique of the Webinar
The perception and the notion by Kaiser Family Foundation that the current systems fail to provide for women is not true and is misplaced. Although, the U.S Constitution provides for affirmative action as one of the means of empowering women; this must be done within the purview of the law. Despite, the fact that women have over time experienced discrimination in various sectors of the economy, this discrimination has not been manifest in the health sector as presented by the Kaiser Family Foundation.
Conclusion
This foundation is biased and does not give a fair representation of the facts owing from its objective or goals of advocating for the plight of women. The affordable care insurance is a policy of the government that seeks to improve health care services and delivery of health care services to all Americans irrespective of their gender. This affordable health care insurance provides for plans and blueprint to ensure that children and women, as well as men, access effective health care services at the expense of the government (Zamosky, 2013).
