Questions
Despite the insulation of humans from calamities causing death by the diet, improved medical science, proper housing and improvements in technology, study finds that humans are still evolving. Scientists have argued that in spite of the remarkable changes in culture, evolution will still exist on condition that there is a disparity in the population in terms of reproduction (Jurmain, 2001). Genetic inheritance causes very small but noteworthy effects compared to cultural influences. Research has it that, genes influence family size, individual’s lifespan as well as the difference between the ages of the fast and last childbirth. Scientifically, this means that there is difference in the characters traits and hence there is change in reaction to natural selection.
Menarche and Menopause
Reproductive health has been affected by the social and physical environments and presumption to midlife. Research has hinted a worldly decline in the usual menarche age while on the other hand there is an average increase in menopause age. Hostile psychological conditions, social circumstances and effects of body size has influenced the timing of both menarche and menopause, scientifically, this has had an effect on evolution of human.
Effect of Human Activity
On the globe, the impact of human activity started 14000 years ago. The increased levels of carbon dioxide in atmosphere as a result of burning fossil fuels have an impact on the Earth’s climate change. The rise of economic activities such as agriculture has significantly had a global impact as a result of cutting down of trees. As a result of global human impact, the tiny algae species that make up Earth’s entire photosynthetic biomass had gradually declined by an alarming figure. This has resulted to ocean and global warming and hence the affecting the growth of biodiversity.
