Global climate change in the US is a major problem in every sector. These changes are felt in water in the sea, energy and transportation systems creating an irreversible change. Some different types of energy include hydroelectric power coming from the force of moving water, and it used to produce electricity. The hydrothermal energy that originates from both water and heat and it used in the supply of unlimited energy. Biomass energy which comes from wood, agricultural products, and plants use it mostly for photosynthesis process. Oil is another form of energy and is used primarily in industries to power the machines for operations (The National Academics 2).
In a conducted study by the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (UNIPCC) revealed that human activities were the major causes of climate change in the atmosphere making the global temperature rise above its normal. Society actions to reduce emissions are an obstacle and a major concern to the nation as people cannot be stopped from working especially in manufacturing companies that produce a lot of smoke in the air (Gillenwater 1). Changes to make in energy policy in the US in future is to examine environmental policies that will create restrictions on the use and disposal of waste products also the legislative actions to regulate the amount of energy produced by firms. This is the best approach as it will ensure a free environment from air and water pollution making the atmosphere to adapt to changes in climate easily. Factors to consider are the rate at which levels of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere to increase. Imports such as oil and coal production to be reduced (EPA 1). Financial support to develop technological innovations for a future reduction in environmental pollution.
In conclusion, climate change legislations should be adopted by the Government in collaboration with the IPCC in terms of green energy to reduce carbon dioxide emissions to the environment. Due to this, scientists past prediction on climate is crucial and needs to be taken into consideration for future foretelling of the global climate and its effects on the nation. This will enable the government to take precautionary measures earlier to avoid intense gas emissions harmful to human life.
