An ecosystem shapes the kind of species of animals and plants that lives within it in some ways. For instance, a Tropical Rainforest Ecosystem is one perfect example of an ecosystem inhabited by various kinds of animals and plants (Ewers et al., 2015). In particular, the tropical rainforest ecosystem is in the tropical regions of the globe mostly associated with warm and at times hot climate. Animals that are adaptive to this climate and as well as adaptive plants and vegetation characterize the ecosystem (Gagic et al., 2015). The tropical rainforest ecosystem has influenced the environment in some ways. First, it is responsible for the provision of balance within the other ecosystems. Secondly, it has brought about the nourishment of the environment through creating a diverse habitation for different categories living things.
In addition, the tropical rainforest ecosystem consists of animals and plants in a wide diversity more than any other type of ecosystem (Ewers et al., 2015). It has highly dense vegetation characterized by very tall trees that converge at the end to create canopies. The reason for the tall growth associated with trees is that they compete for the available sunlight. The animals, on the other hand, depends on the trees canopies for shades.
Furthermore, due to the blockage sunlight by trees canopy, the ecosystem became associated with less underground vegetation. The impact of this ecosystem to the environment is rather positive because it enhances interdependence between plants and animals (Gagic et al., 2015). In particular, due to the changes in the biodiversity, the influence on the ecosystem could be negative.This is because human encroachment could cause one of the inhabitants to reduce in number.
In conclusion, an ecosystem can have huge impacts on the animals and plants that inhabit it while at the same time the living things affect the condition of the ecosystem. From the above example of the tropical rainforest, it is evident that the kind of plants and animals living within it are adaptive in one way or the other to its conditions. People need to incorporate measures to conserve the tropical rainforest ecosystem from encroachment by human beings.
