There are instances in your job when you are required to include images into your Word documents. This document will help both PC and Mac users how to:
Take a screen capture
Edit the image
Incorporate the image to a Word document
For PC users:
all the open windows, look for the Print Screen
button, which is commonly found on the upper right
corner of the keyboard.

If you only want to capture the active or foremost
window, press the Alt+PrtScrn buttons.

Open an image editing program such as Microsoft Paint. Go to Start menu, open Windows Accessories folder, click on Paint. After opening Paint, click the Paste button. OR, press Ctrl+V buttons to paste the screen shot. Go to File menu and choose Save As to save the image to a folder so you can attach it later to the Word document.
If you want to edit the image before saving it, there are editing tools found on the Tool Bar that you can use.

Open the document first. Open the paint document from where you saved it. Right click on the image, choose Copy image, go back to Word document, right click, then choose Paste. OR, press Ctrl+C to copy the image, then Ctrl+V to paste.
If you are a Mac user, the process is relatively easy, and would only take a few strokes on the keyboard with a few clicks on the mouse/trackpad.
Capture the entire screen by pressing Cmd+Shift+3 at the same time.
All images will automatically be saved to your desktop.
Press Cmd+Shift+4. The pointer will change to a crosshair pointer.
Move the crosshair pointer to wherever you wish to start the screenshot.
After selecting the area you wish to copy, release the mouse or the trackpad button, depending on what you’re using. Press Esc to cancel.
Press Cmd+Shift+4. The pointer
will change to a crosshair pointer.
Press the Space bar. The pointer will then
change to a camera pointer.
Move the camera pointer to the window you
wish to copy to highlight it.
Click your mouse or trackpad, or press Esc
Click the menu to see the contents.
Press Cmd+Shift+4. The pointer will

Release the mouse or trackpad, or press Esc to cancel.
Click the menu to see its contents.
Press Cmd+Shift+4 to change the pointer to a crosshair pointer.
Press the Space bar to change the crosshair pointer to a camera pointer.
Move the camera pointer over the menu and highlight it.
Click your mouse or trackpad, or press Esc to cancel.
Open your Word document.
Go to your desktop and open the screenshot you want to incorporate. Remember, all screen shot images are automatically saved on your desktop.
Press Cmd+A to highlight the image. Press Cmd+C to copy it.
Go back to your word document. Choose where you want to place the image, then press Cmd+V.
