Talk about finance, relationships, occupation, nutrition and even life itself; there is always a reason behind the search. You are definitely looking for something, and I can quite tell you that I know exactly what it is and I can offer that to you for a minuscule price of reading through my article.
The internet is by far the most popular thing in the world third to oxygen and the love for money in the era we are living in. According to the , the number of internet users in the world is 3.4 billion which has experienced considerable gain from the prior years. Why is there continued increase in the number of user’s day in day out? Is it that the internet is the apocalypse we all grew up knowing and understanding? Maybe or maybe not. The undeniable truth is that more users reflect the increased number of global searches that are escalating. Some philosophers have argues that demand for something means that there is a deficiency in another complimentary thing. As an economist would put it, higher demand is due to the increased need to provide a particular utility. These being arguments from different sections of the society’s elite, there lies a truth to them. I believe that there is a reason behind their arguments and the general look of things in general.
My belief is that you lack something behind that well-polished suit of yours that is why you end up “googling.” You lack a sense of happiness under the perfect make-up, you lack understanding under your perfect score undergraduates degree, you lack knowledge under your white hair, you lack affection under that well-spoken marriage, you just need a fix to your personal jigsaw puzzle. It is not wrong lacking something because with finding the solution comes knowledge which then translates to better decisions in the future. But that does not dissolve the fact that there are right and wrong solutions.
Social media is a branch if not a sub-branch of the world-wide web whereby people get to share their personal lives via short profiles and biographies or pictures and videos. It is meant to interconnect people from different regions to build an integrated block of diverse but collaborating individuals. It, however, comes with its share of uncouth traits that seek to expose personal weaknesses and limitations. When a teen is posting on Instagram for example, he/she always has that embedded desire that the item he/she has posted will get quite a nice appreciation. If such expectations are reached, then the individual will definitely do it again on a scale that is higher and better to make the appreciation heighten. While this might be normal human instinct, it's nice to have personal value and standards. A teen should not do immoral acts so that he/she gets approval from the public which in most cases does not have a personal one on one relationship with the individual. Approval is the cause for the continued “double tap” mission on the social media platforms. Feeling beautiful or handsome is achieved from being told by others so that you hear it with your ears to overweigh your skepticism of the same.
Approval is what you are looking for in social media most of the time, and it is not in total a bad thing. Positive approval is good, for example, you might read a biography of a famous individual and decide to cast your fears and build the business of your dreams. You might also want to be given approval that something is wrong from people so that you can do it since you love being opposed. We are of different backgrounds and beliefs. Therefore, we need different approvals to get on with life. When you press, tap or slide that search button, what approval are you seeking? Is it knowledge or is it something that will get you back to square one after strides of trial. It is prudent to realize the bigger approval picture before narrowing it down to your desired need. You will learn that this authorization is not long-lasting as it will fade making you yearn for more which results in addiction. Social media is good but not for everybody
