Abstract
Paul Rand was an American graphic designer whose works were characterized by the use of humor, symbolism in visual image and the rebus-like pun. A self-taught designer who learned about graphic designs reading journals and books, he was famous for the creation of corporate logos and posters like that of IBM, ABC Corporation, Enron and Atlas among others. His two masterpiece creations, which are still in use today, are IBM logo and IBM poster.
