During the existence of the Napoleon's French Empire there emerged a couple of revolutionary war against the regime. These wars were perpetuated by organized coalitions that had the common ain of disbanding this French Empire. One of the reasons as to why these series of opposition wars became significant is because European nations at the time had began to develop their weapons using modern technology therefore resulting in massive and large scale destruction of the affected areas. After a long struggle between the Napoleon Empire and the opposing coalitions, there was growth of a nationalistic feeling between nations as they felt the ...

Lab Experiment #4: Fundamentals of Electric Circuits
Goals
The main objective of this laboratory practice is to gain understanding on the basic laws that describe electric circuits and their application.
Background and Theory
Ohm’s Law. According to Alexander and Sadiku (2013), “Ohm’s Law states that the voltage v across a resistor is directly proportional to the current i flowing through the resistor” (p. 31). The constant of proportionality is the element’s resistance, R, which depends on several factors that will not be analyzed in this report. The equation for Ohm’s Law is then: v=iR (where v: voltage, i: current and R: resistance).

There are various methods that determine the existence of DC-DC voltage conversion. Each method has certain benefits and drawbacks based on the operating conditions and specifications, such as voltage conversion ratio range, the maximal output power, power conversion efficiency, number of components, power density, galvanic separation of input and output and many others. When designing a fully-integrated DC-DC converter, the specifications are relevant; however, some of them gain weight due to the emergence of restrictions. For instance, in the case of IC technology, the options and availability of the ...

Sensory Perception
The Nervous system plays an important role in many mammals including man. The nervous system is responsible for the coordination of different stimuli in the body. Environmental changes can be felt in the body due to the nervous system present. The sense of touch, vision, audition and taste can be understood solely due to the nervous system.
A minute change or deficiency in these senses could lead to fatality. A failure in perception of any of the senses makes an individual dependent. Sensory perception is essential for all living organisms and forms the basis for homeostasis.

Oil Prices: Breaks and Trends
The paper organized by the author also has an in-depth relationship with other literature works on the subject of Oil Breaks and Price Trends. Firstly, it has used the Kejriwal and Perron’s sequential procedure to determine the multiple structure changes in real oil prices. However, the author avoided the circular testing problem. In fact, the Kejriwal and Peron model allows the repeated use and selection of a number of breaks in the trend and in the level of a univariate time series without any prior knowledge as to whether the noise component is stationary or not. Thus, the author, in ...

ABSTRACT
In an LRC circuit where a resistor, capacitor and inductor are connected in series is an example of a resonant circuit. Such a circuit can be tuned in order to achieve resonance. At resonance the phase angle of the input voltage in the circuit is zero. When an AC input voltage is applied to such a circuit the phase angle will be affected since the impedance of the capacitor and inductor are dependent on the frequency of the input voltage. For this experiment the phase difference between voltage and current for components in a series LRC resonant circuit. ...

Electrical resistance is one of the most important properties of materials. It is defined mathematically as the ratio of voltage to the current passing through a conductor. In physical sense, it is opposition a material offers to the current flowing through it. This opposition to the passage of electricity is a result of collisions between charge carriers and other sub atomic particles. The collisions reduce the drift speed of electrons that carry charges. Materials that offer greatest opposition to current flow are called insulators while those that allow current to flow through them with minimal hindrance are called insulators.

Theory overview
A resonant circuit which is in series consists of a capacitor, a resistor and an indicator connected in a loop. At some frequency the inductive and capacitive reactances magnitudes becomes equal and since they are opposite each other they effectively cancel each other. This makes the circuit to be purely resistive as it only ‘sees’ the resistor. Therefore at the resonance frequency the current becomes maximum. At any lower or higher frequency, the net difference between XC and XL should be summed with the value of the resistor; this produces higher impedance and ...

Introduction
The relation between the potential difference, electric current, and resistance are represented in the Ohm Law. The Ohm Law consists in the direct relation between the potential difference and the electric current of a basic circuit, where the resistance is the constant value in the relation. Mathematically speaking the Ohm Law is a first-grade equation where the potential difference is the dependent variable, the electric current the independent variable and the resistance a constant value.
With a deep analysis of the circuit, the resistances are components inside the circuit that difficult the path of the electric current through the ...

An enzyme refers to a biological catalyst that mediates reactions. In the absence of enzymes, much energy and time would be required attain physical, as well as chemical conditions necessary for a reaction. An enzyme catalyzes the conversion of one molecule forming another molecule (University of Illinois, 2013). The rate at which enzymes catalyze a given reaction is, usually, influenced by several factors including pH, temperature, and the concentrations of the enzyme and substrate. Most of the factors are required to be at their optimum level for maximum activity of the enzyme to be realized.

The dc circuit theories of Norton and Thevenin are investigated in this practical. The Thevenin theorem states that any network of resistors and sources (voltage and current) when viewed from any two points in a network can be replaced by an equivalent circuit of a single resistance (Thevenin Resistance) in series with a voltage source (Thevenin voltage). Similarly, Norton’s theorem is aimed at replacing the network of resistors and sources with an equivalent circuit of a constant current source in parallel with a resistance.

Abstract
Ohm’s law is used to relate the current through and voltage across a resistor by a proportionality constant known as resistance. Since the voltage supplied by a voltage source, such as a battery, is constant the current will change in magnitude depending on the number of resistors in the circuit. Resistance is also affected by temperature. The two quantities are directly proportional, and hence an increase the temperature results in an increase in resistance. This is due to an increase in collision of electrons hence a decrease in the smoothness of flow of electric current. This relationship is usually expressed as the temperature ...

LAB REPORT: ELISA PRACTICAL
Snakebites are clinically challenging because of the diversity of species and varying concentrations which impact the severity of envenoming on the victim. Other clinical problems can arise due to (a) unpredictable dose quality, (b) determination of appropriate dose, (c) local site of the snakebite and (d) route of injection (Warrell, 1996). The time that has elapsed from the snakebite event until presentation at hospital is the most important mortality-determining factor. The health status of the human victim is important for how local effects, systemic coagulopathy, and/or neurotoxicity exhibit (Warrell, 1996).

Internal Analysis
Internal Analysis
Introduction
According to David (2011), every organization has weaknesses and strengths in its functional areas. Organizations have several functional areas depending on the industry they operate in. A firm that seeks competitive advantage against rivals must build on its distinctive competencies, which are inimitable strengths that others cannot replicate. Similarly, it is important to build on weaknesses and to turn them into strengths. The process of internal analysis, therefore, involves establishing the company’s strengths and weaknesses within key functional areas. Once completed, an internal analysis helps employees to understand and perform their roles within the larger organizational ...
Signal filtering is one of the most fundamental practices in signal processing. The filters are widely incorporated in the signal processing circuits due to their indomitable role in data acquisition and also to get rid of all the unnecessary signals and frequencies which interfere with the quality of the main signal. These unwanted signals are commonly referred to as noises. Once the signal has been filtered, they are then processed as either analog or digital depending on the signals application. Some signals are however weak and thus require an amplification circuit so that the filtering circuits can be consistent.
