Abstract
Memory span is the longest word that can be recalled by an individual correctly in the right order. This experiment aimed at determining the memory span for a number of students by presenting items of varying length each for a second. The subjects were then allowed to rename the items as they had appeared. The stimulus that was made up of numbers gave the highest score of 6.9714 while long words gave the shortest disorder manually.
