Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a chronic disease which is increasing in the United States. On the one hand baby boomers are aging and have become at risk for CHF. People are also living longer. (Ideal, 2009, p. 2) The rate of people under 65 years old entering hospitals for CHF has increased.
