Equal employment opportunity (EEO) refers to the exemption of employees from workplace discrimination on basis of race, sex, marital status, disability, age and even transgender. EEO rights are affirmed by the federal and state fair employment laws. It is the obligation of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and its states counterparts to enforce the EEO rights.
