Feste is one of Shakespeare’s most intricate and fully sketched comic characters, and perhaps for his sophistication he has been a special favorite of the literary critics. This paper discusses three important aspects of Feste’s character in order to gain literary insight. This study addresses whether Feste is a mere fool - a comic-butt and a parasite or hanger-on in the play with his only function being to elicit laughter by his words and actions, or one whose inclusion in the play signifies something more sublime and subtle (Grief 61).

Every single human being would agree that we each carry our own burden. Personal struggles define us because they influence how we act, make decisions, and plans all towards the goal of unburdening ourselves. One of philosophical questions raised in author John Green is looking for Alaska involve the labyrinth as a metaphor for human beings’ personal struggles. As an individual, one would navigate or travel through the tangled path such as the labyrinth and dealing with our personal struggles is similar to the feeling of being trapped in a maze, and attempting and hoping that one would be able to ...

Grief is the response of an individual to the loss of something or someone with whom the individual has a bond. (Smith, 2012). Every individual has a different reaction to grief. Grief therefore may be considered a personal phenomenon. However, the loss may not always be personal. Grief may be experienced for a loss of opportunity at work or loss of a friendship. One may therefore state that there are different types of grief. The process of grieving however may remain the same irrespective of the type of loss. Kübler-Ross describes grief in five stages. This is the most commonly accepted ...

Introduction
Grief is the emotional process an individual goes throughout after the loss of a loved one. Mothers go through an unbearable amount of emotions after losing a child. Considered to be one of the most traumatic experiences an individual can endure, losing a child can have a detrimental impact on a mother. These individuals generally do not consider treatment during the midst of their grief. Most individuals believe their grief is normal under their circumstances. However, the longer the grief lasts the more ...
Introduction
World-wide, adoption has become a widely accepted alternative to birthing children. Throughout the United States, approximately 135,000 children are adopted each year (Claridge, 2014, p. 112). In every adoption case, an adoption triad is developed. This adoption triad consists of the adopted parents, the adopted child and the birth parents. This paper attempts to analyze the grief that is experienced throughout the adoption triad, as well as the different counseling models that can be implemented in order to assist these individuals.

Emily Brontë’s novel Wuthering Heights contains numerous similarities to events and people in her life, but the novel is not autobiography. Instead, Brontë uses familiar events and characteristics of her own personality and that of family members to tell a story about intense love, marriage and death. The childhood activities of Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, playing on the moors, parallel Brontë’s own childhood. Her unflattering depiction of religious fanaticism, as displayed by the character Joseph, reflects her own adult alienation from organized religion. The ongoing elements of illness and death function not just as plot devices to advance ...
Anxiety has an intriguing way of dealing with people. In fact, most persons find it difficult handling this individual due to the impact he has on their performance. With this in mind, it is worth acknowledging the fact he makes one feel uneasy, worried and afraid of what is about to happen. He blends in with the emotions and physical sensations that we constantly experience while we are nervous or worried about something. In most cases, having to deal with this person is quite an unpleasant experience that requires a great personality to overcome. However, when anxiety and other ...

Most of the individuals of all ages experience at least one traumatic event in their life, which is followed by the wide range of reactions (Greenberg, Brooks and Dunn, 2015, p.1). Most researchers however claim that it affects women more as compared to their male counterparts (Sumner et al, 2015). Though post-trauma reactions appeared in literature throughout history, in last year’s numerous scientists and researchers began investigating various effects of traumatic experiences that may have significant influence on mental and physical health. The Black Death was one of the most incredibly disastrous events in human history, killing more than 100 million people, over half the population of Europe. In addition to that, the Black Death brought about significant economic and social changes throughout European society, mostly as a result of the devastating population loss for all classes and areas the Black Death demonstrated. One of the most terrifying and fascinating consequences of such a society-altering event was the relationships between parents and children as a result of such a quickly spreading, apocalyptic disease, something which is unfathomable in today's technological, medically advanced society.

Abstract
Notably, interracial couples and their families have faced various challenges including rejection and being stereotyped. These challenges have resulted in increased trauma and developmental delays among interracial people. The most common misperception about interracial couples is that one partner is black while the other one is white. The rate at which interracial marriages are growing in the US has increased steadily. Considering that the United States legalized interracial marriages, a high growth rate in interracial marriage is a significant move. The demand for interracial counseling is expected to rise as the number of multicultural couples increase.

In thinking about death one is likely to come up with two inescapably true and mutually excluding conclusions: certainty and unknowing (Orbach, 1999, p.9). On the one hand, each of us seems to be convinced that death is inevitable and inescapable, while, on the other hand, nobody of the living is able to confidently predict the time of his/her death and provide a clear vision of what is going to happen to what can be called a soul after the body is dead. Since ages lots of people have been dreaming to invent a way to either escape or at least postpone ...
The modern world is dominated by technological influences that have seen a change in the lifestyle and behavior of man. A comparison is always made on how the day-to-day life of man is being influenced by the technological developments. This has different impacts on people depending on how they handle the changes. Observing the behavior displayed by man, one can only be amazed at the power of how technology has turned man from being a naturally social creature to a machine like individual. Robert frost is one of the modern poets who has observed the changing trend in man even with the ...

Pain can also be acute or chronic, based on the length of time that a patient has experienced the pain. The short fiction work of turn-of-the-century author Kate Chopin regularly deals with the recurring themes of womanhood, agency and identity, usually telling stories of women trapped in stifling lives due to the patriarchal expectations placed on them to live a certain way. Through these explorations of gender roles, particularly through marriage and motherhood, Chopin uses these central themes to explore the imbalances found between men and women in terms of power and agency. At all turns, the protagonists of Chopin’s stories must make unconventional, taboo decisions to reject the white, male-dominated judgments and expectations placed on them. Two ...

Cultural Rituals and death
Different societies and communities across the world are differently organized, based on their native settings, and the environments from which they evolved. One of the most essential things to note in this case is the fact that culture is one of the inheritable tenets of out day to day activities and living. At the same time, it is one of the strongest characteristics of each and every culture. As a result, it has been passed on from one generation to the other, for many centuries and millenniums. This is partly one of the reasons why it has come out to ...

Abstract
Aging is a complex process marked with distinct physical, emotional and social changes in the individual. The older individual must revise his lifestyle to accommodate the changes. The elderly person is often exposed to ageism and stereotypes and is expected to be dependent and helpless. Views on death differ at different developmental stages, as do cultural attitudes towards dying. Late adulthood is associated with a review of the individual’s life, evaluation and acceptance. This may result either in a feeling of integrity over accomplishments or despair over lack thereof.

“The Things They Carried” seems like a simple story concerning the items carried by soldiers while in Vietnam. But in the real sense, Tim O’Brien uses the stories to focus on the terrible conditions of Vietnam as well as the death of one soldier. He believed that the things men carried inside, and those they did or the ones they felt they had to do was so sad (O’Brien 57). It can be described as a powerful meditation by the Vietnam soldiers that is somehow fictional and fact. Besides, the author created a protagonist as a fictional ...

Edgar Allen Poe's short story "The Raven" is one of literature's most well-known stories, depicting the slow deterioration of the protagonist's mental state at the hands of a talking raven. Mourning over the loss of his lady love, his depression grows more gradually into madness, as the persistent isolation and the repetition of the raven's call "Nevermore" distress him even further. There are many similarities to this story and Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s short story “The Yellow Wallpaper,” in which a timid housewife is prescribed a rest cure by her physician husband, involving her ...

One of the most controversial issues ever over time is abortion and whether women have the right to have one or not. The debate has become even more intense after the Roe v. Wade court case. However, introducing the health problems deriving from having an abortion is a more objective approach, given that projected medical-related problems are based on solid evidence and facts. Audiences and readers around the world have been thrilled by Shakespeare’s dark and sinister Macbeth for the last four centuries, and not without reason. In 1979 a trilogy of novels by American writer Jim Harrison was released. ‘Revenge’, ‘The man who gave up his name’ and ‘Legends of the fall’ are all chained by the common theme of revenge. However, ‘Legends of the fall’ turned out to be the most striking, the most emotionally powerful novel, which later became the basis for the movie of the same name. Being the shortest one of the whole trilogy, it, nevertheless, drew the story of the emotional development of a person, who became the prisoner of the epoch and had to act under the influence of tragic events.

Although for various generations dramatic forms of tragedy and comedy were universally comprehensible and their subsequent embodiment in various literary and expressive art works were clear, contemporary world perception had changed to the extent that reality became so complicatedly tragicomic that narrative art had to review the very essence of tragedy and comedy and pay more attention to their mixture. Various cinema critics might argue that classical Hollywood perception of tragedy and comedy remains the same and does not violate the rules of those dramatic forms. However, contemporary cinematograph witnesses the phenomenon of Roberto Benigni’s comedy and subsequent ...
