Medici played a significant role not only in politics, but also in the cultural life of Europe of their time. Like other wealthy and influential people, they ordered a work of art for the greater glory of themselves, their family, of the city and God. Justification on appropriate network services to meet network requirements
The process we used in selecting the appropriate network services were mainly the perceived and or estimated network requirements of the new building. One of the main variables we considered in planning and equipment procurement and placement was the fact that there will be 6 instructional computer labs inside the two-floor building and that within each of those six instructional computer lab, there will be a total of 22 computers including those that are intended for staff and student use. In total the information technology team will have to deal with network requirements of 132 computers.
Firstly, the most ...

Harvard University is considered to be one of the best universities in the world. With such a high classification, it would be very important to have a study on the students in this university to establish their behavior and how they essentially carry themselves. Through an ethnographic study of these students, it is possible to determine and identify the students of this university depending on the general trends and the activities that take place in the universities. Despite the fact that ethnographic studies tend to focus on generalization rather than individual behavior, it would be wrong to think that the study ...

Researching the topic
In selecting the sources that I am to use in my topic, I followed a certain procedure. I first researched the author to find out whether they have the knowledge to write the book. Both authors have written other books related to the topic, which means that they have deep knowledge in the subject. The authors all had a degree course in the related topic. I also evaluated the publisher. The books are published by known publishers. The authors are also affiliated to institutions of higher learning meaning that they have a good reputation.
Researches should use credible sources because the ...

The architecture of the early 20th century relied heavily on the introduction of new materials which led to the existence of new styles that rejected the notion of social hierarchy and religious affiliation. During this period, the buildings created within the early phase of modernization became so diverse and eccentric yet it was due to this nature that allowed architects to apply all the scientific knowledge in creating functional structures rather than buildings based on the designer's viewpoint. What separates the style of the 20th century from its predecessors was their openness in terms of exploring new materials especially ...

Research question is whether preserving death penalty in the USA is still possible under modern legal and ethical norms.
Our thesis is that preserving death penalty in the U.S. system of punishments contradicts international legal and ethical norms.
It seems to be impossible to state that the project is started from scratch without author’s bringing his personal ideas, beliefs and assumptions to the table. Our prior belief is that death penalty is a type of punishment, which contradicts basic provisions of all world religions, international ethics and law. To be more precise in legal terms, death penalty is the punishment, aimed at taking away person’s right to life, which is considered to be most important basic ...
In the article by Bogduk (2004), back pain that persists for over three months is classified into three types: reductionism, multi-disciplinary therapy, and mono-therapy. The reductionism classification should be used if there is need to have a specific diagnosis. Multi-disciplinary therapy is appropriate when that patient is able to participate in exercise. Mono-therapy often does not work at all or only for a short period of time (Bogduk, 2004).

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, sometimes known as FISA, is a federal law enacted in the United States, designed to allow surveillance of individuals who are perceived to be a threat to the United States (Breglio, 2003). First enacted in 1978, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act was originally intended for use during the Cold War. Because that particular war depended so much on intelligence regarding what foreign nations were doing and how they were planning on using the information they obtained about the United States to undermine her security, the government felt the need to enact a piece of legislation that allowed ...
Asian immigrants were, for many years, the silent victims of American westward expansion. When Americans were expanding westward in pursuit of Manifest Destiny, they were not doing all the work themselves. Manifest Destiny was the widely-held belief by many Americans that America was destined to expand across the current-day United States. During the 1820s all the way through the 1860s, Americans from the east coast of the United States expanded across the United States, seeking a variety of different things-- some sought land, others new experiences or natural resources. Everyone who participated in the American westward expansion carried some kind ...

Introduction
In the post cold war era, there was widespread hope for the end of armed conflict. However, such hopes were belied. Instead of long-drawn standoffs between the major powers of the world, the nature of conflict became more variegated and localized. Added to the larger number of smaller scale conflicts was the new phenomenon of a ‘clash between civilizations.’ Islamic movements challenged the supremacy of the United States, which had emerged as the sole superpower on the global stage. The new realities have forced the United States to continue to deploy military ...

Information Technology has transformed major areas of human life. Technology has made it easier for humans to communicate and interact with each other. Infusing classrooms with digital learning materials such as computers, hand held devices and the internet increases student-to-student interaction as well as student-teacher interaction (Bitner & Bitner, 2002). Interaction forms the basis of learning as through it students get to discuss educational materials with each other (Sharma & Barrett, 2011). Students also tend to initiate discussions with the teachers, therefore, understanding of the course’s contents. Information technology makes this educational interaction faster than it is without technology whereby ...

Everything that we need to know and get facts we get them from the internet. This makes it hard to reason and make independent research about issues. My interest in the topic of lucid dreaming comes from the fact that I have always been baffled by the phenomenon of dreaming. When I dream; I am transported to an alternate reality where the rules of science and nature no longer work. I have also noticed that dreams have some power over reality and vice versa. After a good dream, I wake up happy while after a terrible dream, I am never upbeat to face the day. Interestingly, just having a normal dream is not the ultimate when it comes to experiencing “false realities.” I was surprised to realize that not ...

Millennium tower building London was one of the greatest architectural ideas that never materialized to become a building. The owner of the building, Trafalgar House had requested Forster and Partners to design the building for them. The building would have been the tallest building in Europe by then. Forster designed the ninety two-storey building to be three hundred and eighty six meters tall. The plan was one of the most peculiar designs at the time. It joined two asymmetrical eclipses at one of its ends. One of the main sponsors of the building English Heritage withdrew from the project following ...

Obscenity
The case of Miller v. California, 413 U.S. 15, 27 (1973) is the case where the Supreme Court has laid down a three-prong test called the “Miller Test” to determine if a work is obscene. The Miller Test is composed on the following questions: 1.) whether the average person who shall apply cotemporary community standard will find that the work when taken in its entirety appeals to the indecent interest; 2.) whether the work describes a sexual conduct that is patently offensive and violates a particular statute; and 3.) when the work when taken in the holistic approach is inadequate of literary, artistic, ...
How many of us here alone speak more than one language? In my paper I will discuss some of the benefits a bilingual education may provide. However, the way educators approach bilingual education is still an ongoing subject of debate, up to and including the terms used to describe students. As noted by Fránquiz, “The two labels, LEP [Limited English Proficient] ...

In this regard, it is now clear that something should be done to fight this illegal activity since the measures that are currently implemented have been rendered ineffective. However, many people continue to be concerned that the proposed cure is likely to be a side effect and something that will be worse than the “disease” ...

Water is a precious resource. A man may survive not more than three days without water. All living beings, vegetation, and humans thrive in places where there is abundance of water.
