Steel is an alloy of another metal, iron. In addition, it contains carbon components. The carbon content of steel metal varies between 0.002% and 2.1% according to their weight. In fact, it is the carbon component in the steel metal that makes it harder than mere pure iron. As such, these carbon atoms make it hard for any dislocations to occur in the iron crystal lattice preventing the lattice from sliding past each other. Notably, steel is the metal that is most widely used for construction purposes, as well as the most recycled metal on earth. It ranges from ...

Metallurgy
Definition of Metallurgy
Metallurgy is "the science and study of the behaviors and properties of metals” (Tom Bertone Consulting, 2012) and the procedures involved in the extraction of metal from ore. In particular, it deals with the properties of metals and alloys.
Metals are characterized as having the capability of conducting electricity and heat (“Metallurgy,” 2011). They are hard and are dense under room temperature. Alloys, on the other hand, are combinations of metals. An example of an alloy is steel, which is a combination of carbon and iron, although vanadium and chromium may also be added. Other examples ...
In the summer of 1947, something in the sky crash-landed near Roswell, New Mexico. Several locals claimed that there were horrific thunderstorms that summer, and when they were out in the location of the crash, they found metal debris strewn across a wide area approximately three-quarters of a mile long. One of the men, Mack Brazel, took some of metal pieces back to his house and he and the neighbors examined the material. Brazel and his neighbors, the Proctors speculated that the metal could be from a crashed spacecraft. That summer over New Mexico there had been quite a ...

Peace that people enjoy nowadays uninterrupted is, of course, not a new phenomenon. However, what is interesting is that the humanity has lived only several hundred years without warring for whatever reason could bring large armies face-to-face in a lethal confrontation for questionable reasons. Besides soldiers, the brute force of conflicts, the main tools of war have always been weapons indicating the state of technological advancement of nations, being the litmus paper and the benchmarks of progress. Thousands years ago, there was no such concept as a long-lasting peace, and the weaponry was a lot more different than it currently is, being used ...

Introduction
The photoelectric effect can be defined as an ejection or emission of electrons a metallic surface as a response to a light incident. Energy within an incident light is taken in by electrons inside the metallic surface. This provides the electrons with the necessary to be emitted from the metal’s surface. There have been many discoveries by many scientists such as Einstein and Maxwell who have identified different experiments of justifying the photoelectric effect. This experiment is the simplest and most convincing and direct proof of the photons existence as well as electromagnetic radiation and light’s ‘corpuscular’ nature. Therefore, this ...
According to Laborde, a learned anthropologist, “spoons are as old as the soup, if not as old as the world.” (Global housewares & specialties, 2007).
