Introduction
Monogamy is defined as type of marriage where a person has only one husband/wife at any single time (Troost, 2005). Traditionally, monogamous relationships were assumed to be between a man and woman or vice versa but recent developments in the marriage structure and homosexual activism has led to the inclusion of two women or men in a marital relationship as a form of monogamy.
