Abstract
This paper assesses the relationship between personal values that individuals possess and the professional code of ethics of their respective careers. A case scenario of a neuropsychologist misinterpreting the results of an assessment battery leading to inaccurate diagnosis and denial of disability is used to bring out this relationship. Through the analysis of the standards of the psychological code of conduct, the paper tries to show how personal values and professional code of conduct affect the decision making process.
