Strategies and tools for Spanish and Portuguese to control their empires
A myriad of Spanish settlers and missionaries went throughout the world in expeditious actions of establishing colonies and consequently having a claim on the land for their church and king. However, in some cases where they faced resistance, force was necessary. By the end of 1500s, Spain had claimed a large empire in the south of America. On the other hand, Portuguese colony also spread just as the Spanish colony. There was a large territory to the south of America which remained out of the hands of the Spanish. Therefore, the Portuguese took claim of the regions in the east, Brazil.
