Teen pregnancy is a complex issue due to social, economic, emotional, and physical consequences that badly affect the life of teenage girl. In the United States, 3 out of every 10 teenage girls become pregnant before attaining the age of 20 (Shuger). There are about 50% of the high school students that have sexual intercourse in their teenage (Schuster, Bell, Berry, and Kanouse). The teen pregnancy, however, brings considerable economic and social cost to the teenage parents, to their children, and to their communities.
