Abstract
This is an article about HIV in the state of Missouri. The article focuses on the challenges of the current status of HIV infection in the African American community. Focusing in St. Louis, this essay examines the cultural, social, and political challenges that affect both the providers of healthcare and the patients. A snapshot as the main problem is the obvious devoid in educational training among the healthcare providers on the dangers of HIV and the cultural stigma associated with the disease.
