Introduction
Parole refers to the release of a prisoner after they have completed their prison sentence. It occurs at some point during the imprisonment where most prisoners will be eligible for release on parole. It involves an agreement made by prisoners where they comply with certain conditions given to them before they complete their maximum sentence period. Basically, parole does not mean that prisoners have been set free or that they have completed their sentence, they are still under strict supervision and if they engage in any criminal activity they will be taken back for imprisonment.
